around the corner. The Irish Women’s Network has a busy schedule planned so

Thank you for supporting the IWN Annual
Golf Tournament
Thank you to all those that came out for the annual IWN golf tournament
earlier in the summer and a special ‘thank you’ to those that sponsored and
contributed prizes for the event. It was a most enjoyable day and a great
success!
Visit by the Irish Ambassador to Canada
The visit to Vancouver by His Excellency, the Irish Ambassador
to Canada, Mr. Declan Kelly is keenly awaited by members of the Irish Women’s
Network. The Irish Community is hosting a gala reception on Saturday, October
3rd in the Arbutus Club in Vancouver from 6pm – 9pm. Tickets are $50 and are
available from a number of sources - see

Irish Nobel Laureates to attend Vancouver Peace
Summit
Irishwomen Betty Williams and Mairead Maguire and former president of
Ireland will join the Dalai Lama and other world-renowned peace leaders at the
Vancouver Peace Summit in Vancouver at the end of September. See

for further details on this unique event. The IWN has been in touch with both
Betty Williams and Mairead Maguire with a request for a meeting with members of
the Irish Women’s Network – thus far, this looks promising and final details
will be forwarded to members and will be announced on the IWN’s website
